LEARN ABOUT OUR VIRTUAL FITTING PROCESS

Tracing: Right & Left Foot

Sit and place your RIGHT FOOT flat on the GRAF measuring sheet, making sure it's centered and placed on a flat, level surface.

Using a pencil, have your helper trace around your foot, keeping the pencil upright and close to the foot, following the foot’s natural contours (heel, toes, sides).

Stand up without moving your foot. As your foot expands under weight, have your helper trace it again, keeping the pencil upright and close to the foot.

Repeat the tracing process, sitting and standing, for the LEFT FOOT.

Measuring: The Ball of The Foot

Stand up and place your RIGHT FOOT on a flat, level surface.

Have your helper wrap a soft, flexible measuring tape around the ball of your foot, finding the widest points on both the inside and outside.

Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight, and read the measurement in centimeters.

Record the measurement on the GRAF measuring sheet.

Repeat the process for your LEFT FOOT, measuring the widest part of the ball of the foot in the same way and recording the result on the GRAF measuring sheet.

Measuring: The Instep of The Foot

Remain standing with your RIGHT FOOT on a flat, level surface.

Have your helper wrap the soft measuring tape around the highest point of your instep, which is the top middle part of your foot.

Make the tape is snug but not too tight across the top of the foot.

Record the measurement in centimeters on the GRAF measuring sheet.

Repeat the process for your LEFT FOOT, measuring the instep in the same way and recording the result on the GRAF measuring sheet.

Remain standing with your RIGHT FOOT on a flat, level surface.

Have your helper wrap the soft measuring tape around the heel, making sure it goes around the back of your heel and up toward your ankle, without going underneath the foot.

Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight, keeping it at the widest part of the heel and ankle.

Record the measurement in centimeters on the GRAF measuring sheet.

Repeat the process for your LEFT FOOT, measuring the heel in the same way and recording the result.

Measuring: The Heel

Measuring: The Ankle & Calf

Stand up and place your right foot on the GRAF measuring sheet.

Wrap the soft measuring tape around the narrowest part of your ankle (just above the ankle bone), ensuring the tape is snug but not too tight. Then, wrap the tape around the widest part of your calf, where the boot will reach.

Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight, capturing the true size of your ankle and the true circumference of your calf at its widest point.

Record both measurements in centimeters on the GRAF sheet.

Repeat the process for your left foot and calf, measuring in the same way and recording the results.

Measuring: The Length & Width of The Foot

Stand up and place your right foot on the GRAF measuring sheet.

Measure the length by positioning the soft measuring tape under your foot, starting from the heel and extending to the tip of your longest toe. Ensure the tape is straight and record the measurement in centimeters.

Measure the width by finding the widest part of your foot, usually at the ball of the foot (just below the toes). Place the soft measuring tape across the widest points on both sides of your foot without wrapping it around. Record the width measurement in centimeters on the GRAF sheet.

Repeat the process for your left foot, measuring both the length and width in the same way and recording the results.

Measuring: The Arch of The Foot

Examine the arch of your foot to determine whether it is flat, normal, or raised.

  • Flat arch: The foot appears to have little to no arch, and most of the foot touches the ground.

  • Normal arch: There is a visible arch in the middle of the foot, with some space between the arch and the ground.

  • High arch: The arch is noticeably raised, with only the heel and the front of the foot making contact with the ground.

Record your arch type on the GRAF measuring sheet for both the right and left feet.

  • Our Virtual Fitting process is highly accurate. Our experts guide you through each step, ensuring precise measurements using the GRAF measuring sheet and detailed foot measurements. It's designed to provide the same level of accuracy as an in-person fitting because it is overseen by our experts to ensure each step is done correctly.

  • You'll need a pencil, eraser, soft measuring tape (in centimeters), and the GRAF measuring sheet (which can be downloaded and printed from our website).

  • A typical Virtual Fitting session lasts about 30-45 minutes, depending on your specific needs and any questions you may have.

  • You will need someone to assist you, especially when taking measurements like the heel, instep, and calf.

  • It's common for feet to vary slightly in size. Our fitting process takes both feet into account, ensuring a custom fit for each foot to maximize comfort and performance.

  • Both! We guide you through measurements in both seated and standing positions to ensure we capture how your feet expand under weight, which is crucial for a precise fit.

  • We recommend wearing thin socks of the type you wear when skating or going barefoot to ensure accurate measurements. Avoid bulky socks during the fitting process.

  • Yes, if you need to reschedule or cancel, you can do so by logging into your account or contacting our support team at least 24 hours before your scheduled session.

  • Not necessarily. The Virtual Fitting helps ensure the best possible fit, whether you’re ordering custom boots or selecting from our available sizes.
